A Time of Light – Storytelling on the Solstice

All Events

  • This event has passed.

This summer solstice – the longest day of the year – Thistledown Farm invites you to a storytelling celebration of midsummer. Join Fiona Eadie in our beautiful Fieldfare Café for an engaging evening of seasonal stories, myths and folktales.

Suitable for everyone over the age of 8 – adults without children are as welcome as children with adults. The event will mainly be indoors although one story may be told outside. Ticket price includes either a soft drink / hot drink / small glass of wine. The stories will be accompanied by live music from Bristol / Horsley based band Rust & Spray.

Wednesday 21st June. Doors 7:30pm, stories start 7:45pm. £7.50 adults / £5.50 under 18s (booking essential). Bring a cushion if you’d like! Please email info@thistledown.org.uk if you have any questions.

Fiona is passionate about language and about bringing the spoken word to life. Like most storytellers, she works with stories that have come down to us through the oral tradition and delights in telling these face to face rather than reading from books or scripts.
